There isn’t much debate about whether J.C. Tran of Sacramento is one of the top Texas Hold ’em tournament players around; however, until recently, he was in the running for “best player not to have won a major.” He took care of that hole in his resume by winning the WPT’s World Poker Challenge in Reno last March. He followed it up with a strong showing in the WPT World Championship in Las Vegas, and was recently named the World Poker Tour’s Season V Player of the Year.. click here to read the whole article! |

My most memorable hands As poker players, we all play hands that become forever ingrained in our memories. We remember them vividly for the extreme pleasure and ecstasy, as well as the pain and torture that these moments have brought to our lives. Here are a few of mine.

Sometimes a good poker trip takes you a bit off the beaten path, where your map’s red lines (interstates) become the blue lines of two-lane highways. You’re surrounded by farmland, rolling hills, and tons of insects hitting the windshield. You go girl: Women invading poker Don’t underestimate the power of women. Okay … I said it. What a relief to finally get that off my chest! I truly had no intention of discussing this topic even though women in the world of poker are becoming more prevalent, and even though I’m willing to bet we’ll have a female WSOP champion before Hillary Clinton is elected president.
